MINISTRIES
"Having gifts (faculties, talents, qualities) that differ according to the grace given us, let us use them:"
--Romans 12:6 AMPC
Ministries are to
The Lord has provided many opportunities for us to excercise our gifts by being involved in the ministry. Take a look and see where YOU fit in!
ADMINISTRATION -- TO DIRECT
The gift of administration is the divine strength or ability to organize multiple tasks as well as groups of people to accomplish these tasks. These ministries allow people with the gift of administration to be used in a way to allow for cultivation. (Luke 14:28-30; Acts 6:1-7; 1 Corinthians 12:28)
EVANGELISM -- TO TRAVEL AND PREACH
Those with the gift of evangelism carry the gospel of Jesus Christ with vigor and boldness in order to disciple not only those outside the walls but those within as well. There's never an end to telling the world of Jesus' birth, life, death, resurrection and life in eternity of Jesus are never done being told.
(Acts 8:5-6, 8:26-40, 14:21, 21:8;
Ephesians 4:11-14)
EXHORTATION -- TO ENCOURAGE
Those with the gift of exhortation comfort or urge others to action through the written or spoken word and Biblical truth. Members with this gift are good counselors and
motivate others to service.
(Acts 14:22; Romans 12:8;
1 Timothy 4:13; Hebrews 10:24-25)
PERCEIVING -- TO SEE
Those with the gift of perceiving
have the ability to interpret scripture and speak the mind of GOD.
People with the gift of perceiving appear to be direct and blunt
and can be described as perfectionists.
The ministry of Intercessory Prayer allows our members to excercise their gift of perceiving while being spiritually guided.
SERVING -- TO MINISTER
Those with the gift of service/helps recognize practical needs in the
body and joyfully give assistance to meeting those needs.
Christians with this gift do not mind working behind the scenes.These ministries allow our members to excercise their gift of serving.
(1 Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7)
TEACHING - TO INSTRUCT
Teaching is instructing members
in the truths and doctrines of God’s Word for the purposes of building up, unifying, and maturing the body.
Those with the gift of teaching can learn from the Word of God and bring understanding and depth to other Christians. (1 Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7; Eph. 4:11; Romans 12:7)
