STATEMENT

OF FAITH

"Always be ready to give a logical defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope that is in you, but do it courteously and respectfully."

- 1Peter 3:15b AMPC

Prince of Peace Family Ministries is a biblically-based body of Christ that

believes the Holy Scriptures are the instructional guide for daily living.  Personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the most important decision one can make in life's journey.

GOD

There is one God eternally existent in the three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Colossians 2:10 AMPC)

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is both God and the Son of God. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and physically died on the cross to make payment for the sins of mankind. When He took on a human nature he never ceased to be God; He was both fully God and fully man. He rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, where He acts as the Mediator -- the High Priest -- for believers.

(Matthew 1:23 AMPC; I Corinthians 15:3-4 AMPC; II Corinthians 5:21 AMPC; Matthew 28:6 AMPC; Hebrews 1:3 AMPC)

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and with the Son. (John 14:26 AMPC)

HEAVEN AND HELL

Heaven (the place of eternal life) and Hell (the place of eternal punsihment) are real places. Heaven is a place where angels, spirits, and other forms of creation originated. Heaven is also a place where those who accept Jesus Christ will experience its presence on the earth. Hell is the place that God created for Satan and his fallen angels to be punished for their rebellion against Him. Hell is also for those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. (Matthew 25:45-46 AMPC; 2 Peter 3:13 AMPC; Psalm 9:16-17 AMPC)

MAN

Man has a sinful nature and is spiritually dead -- that is, separated from God. He would be hopelessly trapped in this state were it not for God's grace and spiritual regeneration through faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:12-19 AMPC)

SALVATION

People are saved from Hell by admitting they are sinners and accepting and living, in faith, Jesus Christ's sacrificial death on their behalf. Salvation cannot be attained by church membership or by good works; it is a gift of God's grace obtained through faith.

(Romans 10:9-11 AMPC; Ephesians 2:8-9 AMPC)

THE BIBLE

The entire Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. (II Timothy 3:15-16 AMPC)
